HOW TO PREPARE QUINOA AND BLACK BEAN

Quinoa salad is really simple to prepare, taking around 30 minutes. While the quinoa cooks, you may make the dressing and cut the vegetables to save time.

I prepare the quinoa in my Instant Pot to make the process as hands-off as possible (no need to worry about watching the pot on the burner!), but you can absolutely cook it on the stovetop if you prefer.

Is QUINOA AND BLACK BEAN salad healthy?

Quinoa salad is a healthy and tasty choice since it is a complete grain high in protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. It is gluten-free, making it appropriate for anyone with gluten intolerance or celiac disease. A variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds can be added to the salad to increase its nutritional value by supplying vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and good fats. However, it is critical to consider the dressing and other added components, since these might affect the total nutritional value. A homemade dressing made with olive oil or other healthy fats can help the salad retain its nutritional value. Quinoa salad is a healthy and nutritious option when paired with a range of veggies and healthful components.

HOW LONG DOES QUINOA SALAD LAST?

HOW LONG DOES QUINOA SALAD LAST

The shelf life of quinoa salad is determined by the ingredients, storage conditions, and dressing used. If dressed with perishable ingredients, such as vegetables, eat within 2–3 days. Undressed salads with cooked quinoa and non-perishable ingredients can be kept in the fridge for 4-5 days. Dressed salads with individual components can be kept separately in the refrigerator and mixed shortly before serving to ensure freshness. Check for symptoms of deterioration, such as an unpleasant odor or changes in color or texture, and store the salad in airtight containers to keep it fresh. To guarantee the salad’s freshness, refrigerate it in sealed containers.

As mentioned, this salad is correctly blended for better digestion (even with avocado on top), but you are invited to add any other toppings you choose. I believe a sprinkle of feta on top would be delicious! If you want additional protein, add some leftover shredded salsa chicken.
